     DETAILED ITINERARY

    DAY 01: DELHI – SHIVPURI (RISHIKESH)  (250 km/07 hr)

    Overnight drive  from Delhi to Shivpuri (Rishikesh).

    Shivpuri: Shivpuri is situated at an elevation of 670 meter above sea level on the banks of Sacred Ganga river in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. Famous as the white water capital of India, the Ganga near Shivpuri, offers an ideal location for white water sports.

    Arrive Shivpuri early morning . On arrival welcome drink & check-into the river facing tent.  Breakfast at Camp . Lunch at  Camp site.

    Tour/Activity: (1st Half)

    After breakfast take a River Rafting session: We shall drive to Marine drive & Raft down from Marine drive to Shivpuri. We will cover a distance of 14 km facing many exciting Rapids of Grade II like Good morning, Black money, and little investment, Three Blind Mice, Crossfire, and Bodysurf and also try Body surfing on the Ganges. Lunch at camp site.

    Tour/Activity: ( 2nd Half )

    After Lunch take a River rafting session: We Raft down from Shivpuri to NIM beach. We cover a distance of 17 km facing many exciting Rapids of Grade II & Grade III like-Return to Sender, Roller Coaster, Tee Off, Golf Course, and Club House & Cash Flow. We shall also indulge in other activities during rafting like body surfing & Cliff jumping from a 20 ft high rock into the Ganges. On arriving at the finishing point for rafting, we shall depart in own vehicle for Camp.

    Evening free at Leisure or enjoy camp activities like Beach Volley ball, Badminton or go for trekking.  Evening enjoy Bonfire on the white sand beach. Overnight Camp: Shivpuri (Rishikesh)

    Meals:  Breakfast , Lunch, Evening Tea & Snacks (veg), Dinner.

     DAY 02: SHIVPURI (RISHIKESH) – DELHI  (250 km/07 hr)

    After breakfast check out from Camp and depart for Delhi or your further destination. En- route you can visit:

    Ram Jhula: Ram Jhula is situated 3Km north of Rishikesh. It’s a very popular place amongst people coming for religious purposes because it has very known Ashrams. Most known is Geeta Bhawan and Swarg Ashram and these temples are very important in Hindu society and you will see much more commotion here than in Laxmanjhula. Mostly visitors coming to the area of Rishikesh should go and see the evening prayer at Geeta Bhawan’s ghat. The famous restaurant Chotiwala is also in Ramjhula, there actually two of them and it very unclear which is the real one. It is 50 years old now and is very famous for its delicious servings; you will love the taste of food there.

    Lakshman Jhula: Lakshman Jhula is actually an adjoining bridge across the Ganga, along the old route to the holy shrines of Badrinath and Kedarnath. The jhula has now become one of the most visited tourist spot of Rishikesh, not simply because of its ancient origin and religious sanctity, but also because of the grand temples and wonderful local market that have come to be developed around it. A thirteen storey temple, called Terah Manzil, near the Lakshman Jhula is very popular amongst visitors. The top floor of this temple gives a wonderful view of the surroundings. Another temple around the bridge is the ‘Lakshman temple’, with Risha Kund. According to locals, Lord Ram and Lakshman took bath in the kund, after killing Ravana, to get rid of their sins. The entire area around the Lakshman Jhula gives a mystic, holy and serene feeling. As you see people lost in the religious traditions, the entire area gets submerged in enchanting mantras and shlokas from the temples. The market around Lakshman Jhula is famous for wooden goods, Rudraksha, Idols of Gods and Goddesses, holy books, gems, local jewelries, clothes and excellent street food.

On arriving at the finishing point for rafting depart in own vehicle for Delhi.

GENERAL INFORMATION

NOTE : Child below 13 years is not allowed for river rafting

 

ITINERARIES

Please note small changes in itineraries may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances. However modification, if any, will be made in the best interests of the group or individual and you will be fully informed of any changes.

GROUP SIZE

Normally our groups will vary from ten to fifty participants. The minimum number of persons required to operate a tour is mentioned under the itineraries. However, in certain circumstances, depending on the tour, we will operate at less than the minimum number in order to avoid disappointment to our guests.

BOOKING

A 75% deposit is required at the time of confirmation of the booking, the balance being paid not later than ten days before departure. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask us for further information.

MEDICAL

Make sure you bring any personal medications that you may need. Bring enough to cover yourself for the whole trip. We recommend immunizations against Typhoid, Hepatitis A and Tetanus. Please consult your doctor for more information. A basic first-aid kit is provided on all hotels / resorts.

HEALTH

You do not have to be exceptionally fit for most of our activities. However, if you are planning a short trek you should be used to some regular exercise. For high altitude trekking you must be reasonably fit as these treks can involve strenuous walking. We advise you to have a check-up with your doctor before travelling.

CLOTHING

In general you should bring Cotton Clothes are good for summers. Semi-camouflaged trousers/shirts/jackets for evening & night, ld Sneakers / Neoprene Booties / River Sandals. Requirements will vary depending on where you are staying and which tour you are taking part in. You should bring one or two pairs of strong walking shoes, especially for trekking.

PERSONAL ITEMS

We suggest you bring personal items, such as medicines, toiletries etc. before joining the tour as these items may not be available locally.

EXTRAS

You should bring a daypack, cap, hat, torch and water bottle. Binoculars are good for Birding and Wildlife; in the warmer months carry your swimming gear! For those going on a trek bring a sleeping bag.
